Turkey and goose are higher in purines than other types of food, so it’s best to avoid them. And gout-prone people should also keep their intake of wild game to a minimum. Turkey contains high Purines, even though turkey is one of the healthy foods it can cause gout. Turkey has moderate to high levels of purines. Personally, turkey gives me very bad attacks. I only eat small amounts during Thanksgiving and Christmas and avoid it the rest of the year.
